Connect a player
Introduction
This guide explains how to connect your player in Q-Play.
Prerequisites
Make sure your display is powered on and connected to the internet. Otherwise, it will not display a connect code.
How to connect your player
Before a device can display content in Q-Play, it must be linked to your account. This is done using a connect code—a 6-digit code that Q-Play generates and displays on your device's screen when the player software is running. Enter this code in Q-Play to link the device to your account.
Start by opening Players from the menu on the left.
Next, click Add New Player in the top-right corner.
You can search for or select your player type to access installation instructions and download the software for your specific platform.
Alternatively, you can enter the connect code directly to get started.
Once the software is running on your device, enter the connect code, give the player a name, and assign it to a group. Please note that it may take up to 20 seconds for the player to appear in your account after it has been connected.
