Create Dynamic Playlists: A Guide to Medialists in Q-Play for Content-rich Series

How to create a Medialist with content

With the medialist you can create a playlist with all kind of content. You can add a medialist, too as many series as you like, with the Medialist App. You can easily edit the content on the series, from one place. You can combine almost all the apps from the Designtool editor, in one or more media lists.


1. Click on Medialist on the left side.

2. If you wish to create a group click on NEW GROUP.  You can create as many groups as you want to.

3. Name your new group and save it by clicking on Create group.
Please note that it is not possible to use special signs in the name.

4. If you've created a group, click on the group you wish to place your medialist in.
Now click on NEW MEDIALIST  to create a medielist.

5. Name your new medialist and save it by clicking on Create medialist.

6. Your medialist is now created, but there is not any content in it yet. You add content to your medialist or edit existing content, by clicking on the Pencil icon under Functions

7. Click on ADD APP to add new content to your medialist.

8. Pick the app you want to add.
Please note that the app TV2 news vision requires a separate medialist. You can always add more medialists to your serie.

9. Customize the app as you wish. Finish and save by clicking on Add App.
Tip: You can add schedules so you can schedule content playback.

Your app is now added to the medialist.
Repeat the process to add some more contents.
You can add so many apps as you want to but we recommend that you group your content into several different media lists.
 
When you are satisfied with the quantity of the content in your medialist, it is ready to be connected to your series.
