How to Implement Custom Fonts in Q-Play for Unique Branding

How to Set Up Custom Fonts in Q-Play

Introduction

This guide demonstrates how to import and apply custom fonts to your design projects in Q-Play. By following these simple steps, you can add a personal touch to your presentations, advertising materials, or social media posts, making them more unique and eye-catching. This process is ideal for anyone looking to stand out with their visual communication.

Before You Begin

Before you dive into the process of importing and applying custom fonts in Q-Play, there are a couple of preparations you need to make to ensure everything goes smoothly.
  1. Prepare the font file on your computer: Ensure the font you wish to use is already downloaded and saved somewhere on your computer where you can easily find it. This might be in a folder dedicated to fonts or downloads.
  2. Check the file format: It's important that your font file is in TrueType Font (TTF) format. Q-Play supports this format for custom fonts, so double-check that your file has a ".ttf" file extension before proceeding. If your font is in a different format, you may need to convert it to TTF format before you can upload it to Q-Play.

1. Begin by clicking on "Media Library" in the navigation menu to access your media library, where all your media files are stored.

2. Within the media library, look for a section or area marked with "Drag and drop your files here or browse." Drag your font file (TTF format) into this area, or click to search for the file on your device. This will initiate the upload process.

3. After uploading, confirm that your font file (e.g., Husterican-Trial.ttf) now appears in the media library. This indicates that the font is ready for use.

4. Select "DesignTool" from the navigation menu, where you can start to create or edit your design content.

5. Choose either to work on an existing design by clicking on it or start a new presentation by pressing "New Presentation" at the top.

6. With the text box selected, navigate to the "app properties" panel. Here, you will find a range of text settings, including font selection. Search for and select your newly uploaded font (e.g., Husterican-Trial) from the font dropdown menu.

7. Click into the text box or on the "Edit text" area to start typing or editing your content. Your chosen custom font will be applied to the text.
