How To Update Your LG Firmware

Step 1: Format a USB drive to FAT32

  1. Insert the USB drive into a computer.
  2. Open This PC (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
  3. Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) the USB drive and select Format or Erase.
  4. Select FAT32 as the file system and start the formatting process.

Step 2: Create a new folder on the USB drive and name it LG_MONITOR

  1. Open the USB drive on your computer.
  2. Create a new folder and name it LG_MONITOR.

Step 3: Download the firmware and copy the EPK file into the LG_MONITOR folder

  1. Download the firmware (EPK file).
    If you do not have this file, please contact Nordicscreen Support at Support@Nordicscreen.com.
    To identify the correct firmware, the support team will need information about your LG display. Follow this guide for more information: https://help.nordicscreen.com/portal/en/kb/articles/where-to-find-information-on-your-lg-tv
  2. Copy the EPK file into the LG_MONITOR folder on the USB drive.

Step 4: Insert the USB drive into the display and start the update

  1. Safely remove the USB drive from the computer and insert it into the display.
  2. Turn on the display and start the update process as instructed by the manufacturer.
  3. Wait until the update is complete. The display will restart automatically.
