How To Update Your LG Firmware

1. Get information about your LG Firmware from Nordicscreen Support

Start by gathering information about your current LG Firmware ( see this guide ). Send this information to Nordicscreen Support - preferably with an image of the System Information attached.

2. Nordicscreen finds the relevant firmware for your device

If a firmware update is available, we will send it to you.

3. Prepare your USB drive for the firmware update

Notes
NB! Firmware update requires a FAT formatted USB drive with "Master Boot Record" scheme

Place the .epk file with your firmware update on a USB drive, inside the "/LG_MONITOR" folder. Create this folder if needed.

4. Install the firmware update

  1. Insert the USB flash drive carrying the firmware to update with into the webOS Signage device. Then, the Software Update menu gets launched, as shown below.

The device starts updating its firmware. When the update is completed, the webOS Signage device reboots.Firmware_Update2.png
