Introduction

The Jobnet app displays local job listings on your screens, pulled from Jobnet's job feed for a municipality of your choice. You can choose how the listings are styled, how many are shown, and how they rotate.

This guide covers the Jobnet-specific settings.

Before you start: make sure you already know how to navigate Q-Play and add apps to a slide — see our main app guide for general app usage if not.

Step-by-step guide

1. Add the app

Add the Jobnet app to your slide the same way as any other app.

2. Choose a Template

Under General, pick a Template:

• Jobnet - Cards: a more modern, sleek design.
• Jobnet - Default: the standard Jobnet look and feel.

On Jobnet - Default, the application deadline and QR code are always shown — there's no way to turn them off. On Jobnet - Cards, Show Deadline and Show QR (below) let you choose whether to show them, and are on by default.

3. Set the Municipality

Under Data sources:

• Integration and Job list are already set for you and don't need to be touched.
• Municipality is the one field you need to set: type in the municipality you want job listings from (e.g. "Silkeborg"). Note: it can take a couple of minutes for listings to load in after setting this, so give it a moment before assuming something's wrong.
• Hot jobs only: optionally filters the listings down to popular/highlighted jobs only.

Click save once you've set the Municipality.

4. Adjust Template settings

• Number of Jobs (labeled "Amount of jobs to show" on Jobnet - Default): how many job listings are shown at once.
• Time between jobs: how long each listing is shown before rotating to the next one.
• Number of days until deadline: only shows jobs whose application deadline falls within this many days.
• Show Deadline and Show QR: only shown when using Jobnet - Cards. Let you choose whether the deadline and QR code appear on each listing. These don't appear on Jobnet - Default, since that template always shows both.

5. Check "Fetch new data every"

Under App Settings, set "Fetch new data every:" to how often you want the app to check for new job listings, e.g. every 30 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Problem: Can I display jobs from multiple municipalities on the same screen? Solution: Each instance of the Jobnet app is tied to one Municipality. If you want listings from multiple municipalities, add the app more than once (on the same or different slides), each set to a different Municipality.

Problem: How often are the job listings updated? Solution: This depends on the "Fetch new data every:" setting under App Settings, which controls how often the app checks Jobnet for new listings.

Problem: How do I stop displaying the job listings? Solution: Remove the Jobnet app from the slide, the same way you'd remove any other app.
