How to use the weather app in Q-Play

Introduction

The Weather App in Q-Play allows you to display up-to-date weather conditions from various cities directly on your screen. You can choose to display the weather in either Danish or English and specify which city the weather forecast should come from. This guide will help you through the setup of the weather app, so you can quickly and easily display the weather forecast for your chosen city.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open Q-Play and find Weather App

Start by opening Q-Play on your device and find the “Weather App” in the app library. Tap the app to begin the setup process.

2. Choose a template

When the app is opened, you will be prompted to choose a template. Press down arrow, to choose whether the weather forecast should display the current temperature, current weather or direction for the weather forecast. 



3. Type the city

When you have choosed a template, you'll see a new dropdown-menu called "Data sources". In "Location" you have to specify the city you want to display the weather forecast for. Type the city and press "enter" on your keyboard. Press on the city, then outside the box and press "save". 
When you saved the city, the weather app will show the weather forecast for this city.



4. Manage text, icon and background color

Now you can manage colors for the text, icon and background color for the weather app. 

 


5. Manage font, units and language

When you go to "App Settings", you can manage font, units and language. The weather forecast can be displayed in Danish, English, German, Norwegian, Polish and Sweden. Select the language that best fits your audience.

Problem: The weather is not updating correctly.
Solution: Make sure you have selected an active city and that your device has a stable internet connection. Try refreshing the app or restarting the device to ensure the latest weather data is fetched.

Problem: The wrong city is displayed.
Solution: Go back to the search function, re-enter the city’s name, and make sure to select the correct city from the displayed list.

Problem: The weather is not showing on the screen.
Solution: This may be due to a lack of connection to the weather data sources. Try selecting another city or refreshing the app, and ensure your device is connected to the internet.
