Installation and Setup of Q-Play on Player
This guide walks you through step-by-step how to configure date and time on a QBic player, enable automatic reboot, access USB content, and ensure that Q-Play starts automatically.
1. Set Date and Time (Time Zone: Denmark)
It is important that the time settings are correct so content in Q-Play is displayed properly.
How to do it on QBic:
-
Go to Settings via the gear icon on the home screen.
-
Select System > Date & Time
-
Choose Select time zone and set it to GMT+01:00 – Central European Standard Time (Denmark).
-
Go back – the changes will be saved automatically.
2. Enable Scheduled Reboot
The QBic player can automatically reboot at a fixed time to ensure stable performance.
How to set up Schedule Reboot:
-
Go to Settings.
-
Enable Schedule Reboot.
-
Choose a time, for example 04:00, and select the days the player should reboot (recommended: daily).
-
Press Save or go back.
3. Insert USB and Access Content
Q-Play software and other content can be transferred via USB.
How to do it:
Download this APK file to your PC: https://storage3.q-play.net/releases/android/Q-Play-2.2.32-universal-release.apk
Insert a USB drive into your PC and move the APK file onto it.
Plug the USB stick into the QBic player’s USB port.
-
Open the File Manager app.
-
Locate your USB under USB Storage – it will appear with the USB's name.
-
Navigate to the APK file and tap it to install the Q-Play software.
4. Add Q-Play as Default Content
To ensure Q-Play starts automatically, it must be added via the home screen.
How to do it:
