Installation for Q-Play - Airtame

Introduction

Airtame offers a powerful platform for screen sharing and digital signage, allowing you to engage and inform your audience through visually appealing content. With Airtame, you can easily manage and present your content on any screen that supports HDMI input.

Prerequisite

To use Q-Play with Airtame, the Airtame device must be connected to Airtame Cloud, and the necessary licenses must be paid for using Q-Play on Airtame.

Before you begin the installation, it is important to ensure that you have all the necessary components:

In the box:

  1. Airtame device
  2. Power cable & HDMI (It is a combined cable)
Not included:
  1. Network cable

Recommendations

Placement: For optimal performance and ventilation, we recommend placing the Airtame device on top of the screen. Avoid placing it directly behind the screen to prevent overheating and potentially shortening the device's lifespan. Ensure that the device is also easily accessible in case of network or HDMI signal issues.

Internet Connection: For the most stable connection, it is recommended to use a network cable. Wi-Fi is also an option on the device. If you want to use Wi-Fi, follow this guide to set up Wi-Fi on Airtame.

Before Installation

Before installation, it is important to be well-prepared:

  1. Placement: Place the Airtame device according to the recommendations.
  2. Internet: Choose between a wired connection or Wi-Fi.

During Installation

Follow these steps for a smooth installation:

1. Click on the gear icon next to the device you want to configure.


2. Go to the "Appearance" tab. Select the desired position for the panel (e.g., "Footer panel").


3. Go to the "Schedules" tab


4. Disable "Sleep schedule."


5. Enable "Update schedule" and set it to update every day around the clock.


6. Enable "Reboot schedule" and set it to restart at a given time.


7. Go to the "Signage" tab and click on "Add."


8. Select "Website."


9. Insert the webplayer URL from Q-Play (If you are unsure how to find the webplayer URL, follow this guide).


10. Set "Page Refresh" to "1 day" to ensure the page is refreshed daily.


11. Click on "Save" to save your changes.


12. Click "Save" again to save the "Website."


After Installation

When the installation is complete, and you have inserted the URL from the webplayer, follow these steps to add a presentation to the screen.
