Introduction
Welcome to the installation guide designed to help you install Q-Play on your Raspberry Pi. This guide combines necessary steps and recommendations to ensure a seamless setup and optimal performance from your Raspberry Pi, whether you're a beginner or an experienced user.
Notes:
Our software is designed to run on the Raspberry Pi with the Linux operating system. Before you continue, ensure that:
- You have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ or newer.
- Your system is equipped with a FLIRC Raspberry Pi case with passive cooling.
- You are using a SanDisk Ultra MicroSDHC A1/U1 card with at least 16GB.
- A Raspberry Pi is not intended for playing large video files. If you wish to play larger videos, we recommend using hardware that is sized for the desired setup.
Placement and Cooling
- Place your Raspberry Pi in a location with good ventilation to avoid overheating. Consider cooling needs based on your device's placement and expected load, especially if you plan to play video content continuously.
- Place your Raspberry Pi in a cool area away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent overheating and ensure optimal performance.
Network Recommendations
Ensure a stable and secure network connection. This is crucial for both software installation and ongoing updates.
- For maximum stability and speed, we recommend using a wired connection (Ethernet) for your Raspberry Pi wherever possible. This eliminates wireless interference problems and ensures a more reliable network connection.

1. Open the Terminal on your Raspberry Pi.
2. Type "sudo raspi-config" and press Enter.
3. Navigate to "Network Options" > "Wi-Fi".
4. Enter your network name (SSID) and password.
5. Restart your Raspberry Pi to apply the changes
