Printer Calibration

This guide will teach you how to setup calibration for the printer connected to your Q-Visit check-in setup.


  1. Start by closing down Q-Play, either by dragging from the left side of the screen, towards the right, and closing down Q-Play by pressing the X over the image.
    1. Alternative, connect a keyboard, and press F4 (FN+F4), this will close down Q-Play.
    2. If you dont want to connect a keyboard, use the build in keyboard by Windows, you find this in the bottom right corner of your taskbar, looks for a keyboard icon.


  2. Make sure to close down the "PrintService" program, to be able to edit the printer settings.
  3. Go down to the searchbar, and search for "Printers & Scanners", and click on the menu.


  4. Once in the menu, find and press on the "NPI NP Series Integration Driver" printer - if you dont see any printers called this, find your printer and click on it.
    Then press the "Manage" button, to open a the settings for the printer.


  5. Once in the new menu, press the "Print settings", and a new window will open up.


  6. Once in the menu, go to the "Document Setting" tab, and press on the "Document Setting" button, a new window will now open up.


  7. Once in the new window, go to the "Detailed Setting" tab, and press on the "At the End of Page" button.


  8. Once in the "At the End of Page" settings, enable "Black Mark Detection" - ON, here you can also edit how the name tag will get cut - you have the following options: "No cut", "Partial cut" & "Full cut".


  9. Remember to press the "O K" button to save the settings, and then "Apply" in the "Print Settings" to apply the new settings.
  10. Now you need to open up the printerhead physically to make it recalibrate.
  11. Once the printer is done recalibrating, remember to open "PrintService" and make sure it is running.


  12. Once "PrintSerivce" is running, open Q-Play, by dobble clicking on the Q-Play icon.
