How to use the black-screen feature in Q-Play

The price of electricity goes up and up. Optimizing the power consumption of your digital signage solution is one way to be mindful of the amount of electricity you use.

 

In Q-Play the Black-Screen feature allows you to put your screen and player in a standby state while you and your colleagues are not using it e.g. at night.

 

Read this guide and learn how to use the feature in your solution.

 

1) When signed in to Q-Play navigate to “Players

2) Under "Players" choose the player, where you wanna activate the Black-Screen feature. This is done by pressing the player's name.

3) In the pop-up you need to find and press the off/on Screen (Black Screen) settings.

4) In the settings menu you can set what time the player should turn on and what time it should turn off. You can set specific time schedules for specific days or say if the screen should be turned on/off all day. Remember to activate the feature and press save.
