Troubleshooting Printer Issues at the Visitor Management

If your printer at the Visitor Management station is not printing paper, follow this guide to resolve the issue.

Basic Checks

First, check the following three things:
  1. Is the printer turned on and showing a green light?

    • Ensure that the printer is properly turned on and that the power indicator is green.
  2. Is the paper correctly inserted?

    • Check that the paper is correctly inserted into the printer without being crumpled or improperly placed.
  3. Is the paper tray securely in place?

    • Make sure the paper tray is not loose and is properly positioned.

Advanced Troubleshooting

If the above steps have been checked and the printer still does not work, follow these steps:
  1. Find and connect a wireless keyboard and mouse:

    • Locate a wireless keyboard and mouse and connect them to the player behind the Visitor Management station.
  2. Close Q-Play:

    • Press "F4" on the keyboard. If the F-keys are locked, press "FN" and "F4" simultaneously.
  3. Check for error messages:

    • After Q-Play is closed, look for a pop-up with an error message from the printer in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  4. Handle error messages:

    • Click "Continue" and close all pop-ups that appear in the bottom right corner.
  5. Restart Q-Play:

    • Double-click the "Q-Play" icon on the desktop to restart the program.
  6. Test the printer:

    • Test if the Visitor Management printer now prints paper.
