Windows 10 end of life

Windows 10 will reach its official end of life on October 14, 2025, after which Microsoft will no longer provide free technical support, software updates, or security fixes for the operating system. While your PC will still work, it will become increasingly vulnerable to malware and viruses.

What happens to the Windows 10 player you have?

The Windows 10 players that have been sold by NordicScreen use Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel), which means that Microsoft will keep updating with security patches longer than the Home version of Windows 10.

Find out what year version your player is using.

  1. Plug in a keyboard, and if preferred, a mouse, to the player.
  2. Press either F4 – to close down Q-Play, or F11 to unfocus Q-Play.
  3. Press the Windows key on the keyboard.
  4. Type "Run" in the search bar, and open the Run program.
  5. Enter the command "winver", and press Enter.
  6. A new pop-up window will open, where the year version is on the second line.


  7. Look up your version in this table:

  8. Finally, remember to either open Q-Play again – if you used F4 to close it, press Tab until Q-Play is highlighted, and then press Enter – or focus Q-Play again by pressing F11, if you removed focus from it.
