How to Use the Video App in Q-Play: Complete Setup Guide

How to use video app in Q-Play

Introduction

The Video App in Q-Play allows you to add and play videos directly on your screens. This is an effective way to convey messages, showcase products, or share visually engaging content with your viewers. This guide will help you add a video from the media library, ensure proper playback, and publish the finished design to your screens.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start by opening Q-Play on your device and finding the “Video App” in the app library. Click the app to begin the setup.

2. Once the app is open, click “Browse Media Library” to access your media library. Here, you can find videos you’ve already uploaded, or you can upload new ones.

3. Find the video you want to display on the screen and click it. Then, press “Add Media” to insert the video into your design.

4. To ensure the entire video plays correctly, change the Playback setting to “Change slide at video end.” This ensures that the screen won’t switch to the next slide until the video finishes playing.

5. Once you’re satisfied with the setup and the video has been correctly added, press “Publish” to make your design and the video visible on your screens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Problem: The video does not play in full.
Solution: Make sure you’ve set the playback to “Change slide at video end.” If the screen changes too early, check that this setting has been saved correctly.

Problem: I cannot find the video in the media library.
Solution: Ensure that the video has been uploaded correctly to the media library. If it’s missing, try re-uploading the video or refreshing the page to update the library.

Problem: The design isn’t displaying on the screen after publishing.
Solution: Verify that the changes have been properly published, and check that the device is connected to the internet. If the issue persists, try restarting the device.

Problem: The video stutters during playback.
Solution: If the video stutters, it may be because the file is too large or not compressed correctly. We recommend compressing the video to ensure smooth playback. Follow this guide to see our video compression recommendations: General Video Guide.
