Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of downloading, installing, and configuring Q-Play on your Samsung dual sided screen that can be a bit tricky to work with. This product really consist of two individual screens in one cabinet, since this can be a bit tricky as there is only one ethernet connector and that both sides react to the remote we have decided to add this specific guide based on our findings.
IMPORTANT - Key points to consider
Software installation is best done before installing the screen in a window as the outside screen will require you in most cases to go outside and you will deal with reflections, weather and reduced remote signal reception.
We recommend that you let the screens connect to wifi. This is due to the one ethernet connector that is shared between the screens. Some kind of NAT or connection trunking is happening and often cause issues in our experience
Let the screens have different host name, so you can identify on network which is which, and some networks will not accept several devices with same host name but different MAC address.
Set the date and time very accurately on both screens.
The screen has two IR sensors, we recommend that you connect one at a time and configure that respective side of the screen completely. Then let the finished side stay on, disconnect the IR sensor and connect the IR sensor for the other side and complete configuration of that side. After that, remove power cable from the screen for 30 seconds and power both sides on, verify that both sides have network connection and q-play runs and can update content.

- When you reach Installation Type, select Manual Setup.
- Choose the screen orientation. If you are unsure, select Auto.
- When asked to select a player, choose URL Launcher and enter the following URL to install the Samsung Q‑Play app:
- After entering the URL, press Go on the on‑screen keyboard (or Enter on a USB keyboard), then press the Right Arrow on the remote.
- When prompted to connect to the RM Server, skip this step. It is not required for Q‑Play to function.
- Disable Auto Power Off to prevent the screen from shutting down automatically after a set number of hours.
- Return to System, open the Power Control menu, and enable Auto Power On and Remote Configuration.
- Set the current time. If the screen has internet access, the time should be set automatically.

- Press the Home button on your remote control, and select URL Launcher. Q-Play will be automatically downloaded and start.
- Once a connect code appears on the screen, your player is ready to be connected. Follow this guide to complete the connection: Connect a player to your account
Troubleshooting
When installing you get "unable to connect to server" error or "server address is incorrect"
- Check date is correct and time is correct within 1 minute, as close to correct as possible
- Rename the screens host name by removing any [] and adding for instance "in" or "out" to the hostname, this is available under network or system.
- Power cycle the screen by removing power source for 30 seconds
- Check that URL is correct
- Check that screen has received IP address and DNS
- Start the screen browser by pressing home, and choose browser, go to dr.dk and confirm that the screen can render this page
- Try installing again by pressing home, choose URL launcher settings, go to url at top and verify, press GO.
Non‑essential steps
These steps are optional but recommended for a smoother experience especially when using the screen for other devices via HDMI.
- If you want Q‑Play to open automatically when an external device is unplugged, press the Menu button on your remote.
- Go to System > Auto Source Switching.
- Select Auto Source Switching, then choose Preset input.
- Scroll to Primary input and select the HDMI port you want to use for other equipment
- Scroll to Secondary input and select URL Launcher
- Make sure that Primary Source recovery is enabled.
When set up like this the screen will start Q-Play by default but will switch to HDMI input when something is connected, and when HDMI input is disconnected it will fall back to run Q-Play.
