How to create user roles in Q-Play

This guide describes how to create user roles in Q-Play

User roles are used to define the user's access to the system. Whether a user can view, create, edit or delete other users - or access certain areas of the system.




Example

Below is an example of a user role, which in this case is defined as "Store Manager full access".

Admin has chosen here that the user does not have access to i.a. contact information, user management, etc. But the user is welcome to access i.a. players, series and media lists.

Create a user role:

  1. Log in to Q-Play.

  2. Click on "User menu" at the top left and select "Account settings"

  3. Select the "User Roles" tab

  4. Press the "New User Role" button.


  5. Enter the desired name for the user role.

  6. Now select the rights you want to define for this user role and press "Create"

  7. Your user role is now created.
    (If you want to give a user full access to the system, you can simply assign the user access to the Admin Built-in role)
