Monitor your players with the Player Monitoring App

Introduction

The Player Monitoring app allows you to get a quick overview of your Q-Play players in near-realtime, directly inside a Q-Play presentation. That way, you can deploy a screen in your internal IT department which monitors all the other players running throughout your business.




How to set it up


1. Creating API Credentials



2. Set up the integration

This app needs an integration to run periodically, in order to fetch the required player data.

  1. Log in to Q-Play here and go to the "Integrations" page.
  2. Click on the "New integration" button in the top-right corner
  3. Find the "Player Monitoring" integration and click "Configure"
  4. Give the integration a name, and fill out your API credentials from Step 1
  5. Hit "Save" 
  6. You will now have the option to add a new script. Click the button here.


You can now give the script a name and apply group filters. Hit "Save" when you're done creating the script.

3. Add the app to a presentation or playlist


  1. Go to the DesignTool of either a presentation or playlist
  2. Find the "Player Monitoring" app in the Apps sidebar and add it to your design
  3. Connect it to your integration under "Data sources" and you're ready to go!
