Videowall setup multiple screens - AMD based players

To set up a multiscreen layout, like 3 screens in a row we always recommend installing on a mount dedicated to this purpose for easy alignment of the screens. Contact Nordicscreen for recommendations on products for your specific need, make sure you have amount of screens, size of screen(49" for example) as well as the orientation and desired matrix (always width first)- 2x2, 4x1.

Set up your player as follows:
1. Ensure your screen can handle 1920x1080@60fps input.
2. Connect the screens to the player and boot the player
3. Close Q-Play software by pressing F4 and transfer the file attached to this guide, NordicscreenFHD EDID.bin to the computers downloads folder. 
4. Start AMD Adrenaline software by right clicking the desktop and choose AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition

5. Go to EDID Section:
6. For each screen, do steps 6-9: 
Press the three dots and choose "Emulate":

7. Under Select Source choose "From File":
8. Click the button "Browse EDID Files" and choose the NordicscreenFHD EDID.bin file
9. Click the red "Apply" button
This ensures that the player will not output more than FHD resolution ensuring smooth operation, and will also ensure that the player will always see the screens as attached even if one is missing physically making this setup very robust. Your EDID Section should now show the port numbers in a red circle and the screen model should report as Nordicscreen:


10. Right click windows desktop and choose "Display Settings"
11. Make sure that the screens are oriented(choose landscape/portrait setting), has the same set resolution(1920x1080 or 1080x1920 depending on orientation)
11b. If the picture is upside down, the screen is installed incorrectly and should be rotated physically to avoid warranty is void.
12. Arrange screens properly by dragging them around. You press the "Identify" button to show the screens number on the screen for a short time:
13. If the screen to the left is showing the number 2, you will need to drag screen number 2 to the left and choose "Apply":


14. Go back to the AMD Adrenaline software and go to the Display section, scroll to the bottom and now you should see an "AMD Eyefinity" section:
15. For menu board setups with 2-3-4 screens landscape in wide configuration, click the Quick Setup option and wait, the screens should now be merged into one big wide desktop with a resolution based on 1920x1080 multiplications, so if you have 4 screens the quick setup will default to a desktop of 7680x1080 pixels.
16. If the layout is with portrait screens, or the layout of the screens are 1x3(1 column, 3 rows) then choose the "Advanced setup":

17. Click the "select layout" option and choose the appropriate setup, for instance 1x3 and press Next:

18. In the next dialogue, drag the individual screens from the lift to the left to their correct placement to the right, choose Layout Mode:Expand and press Create AMD Eyefinity Configuration to finalize:
19. Verify mouse pointer moves correctly across the new desktop, close AMD utility and windows display settings, then start Q-play software.
