Installation of Q-Play on a Hisense signage-display

This guide will show you how to install Q-Play on a Hisense signage-display.


Step-by-step


Before installation

Start by logging in to Q-Play, and download the Q-Play Android APK installation software.
  1. Once logged in, go to the menu "Players".
  2. In the top right side, click on the "New Player", and download the installation for Android.
  3. Once downloaded, transfer the file to a USB stick, and plug it into your Hisense signage display.

During installation

During installation will show you how to set up your Hisense display, what settings to turn off and so on.

  1. Start by closing the prompt to open the USB stick.
  2. Go to "Setting".
  3. Once inside the settings, you start on the "Network" tab, if you want to set up Wifi, this is the menu to do so.
    1. Go to the Wifi setting, turn Wifi on, find your network and connect to it.
  4. Go down to the "Switch on/off" tab, and find the "No signal standby" and set this to "Close", next go to the "No operation standby" and set this to "Close" as well. These settings will make sure your display doesnt turn off all of a sudden.
  5. Next go down to the "System" tab, and locate the "Country selection/Time zone", and make sure its set to the correct time zone according to your location. If this isnt set correct, some apps may not show the correct time and on/off timer (black screen) might also not work within the configured hours.
  6. Now press back on the remote, to close down the settings. Go to "Source", and open the USB.
  7. Once in the file menu, on the left side choose your USB drive, and go to the "Installation package" folder.
  8. Find your Q-Play installation file, press it, now follow the instructions on the screen.


  9. You have now succesfully installed Q-Play on your Hisense display, and are ready to run Q-Play.
  10. You should be on the homescreen, if not press the back key on your remote, untill you are on the homescreen. Here go to "All apps", find Q-Play and press it to start your signage screen.

After installation

If you want to use your signage display for more then Q-Play, you can set it up, so that when an external input is connected, your Hisense display automatically switches to this, when its unconnected, your display will start Q-Play again.
  1. Go to "Setting", then find "Signal management", turn off the "Auto switch source" and then go to the "Failover" settings.
  2. Inside the Failover settings, turn on the failover, set your "Main channel" to your prefered input (external input), and set your "Standby channel" to Q-play Player.
